It's that time of year where I wish people would just put their damn clothes back on and not make me want to bleach my eyeballs.
No, I'm not talking about summer, I'm talking about the ESPN Body Issue and the NHL's choice of who should go naked. May I remind you that last year's decision was 90% tooth. And other's have been even worse (I won't link to that).
Has the NHL really decided that Joffrey Lupul is the best candidate for representing the league? Lupul who requested to see a girl's sweater yams through a Twitter DM? An average, at best, winger who isn't even the star of his team is going to represent the NHL?
Was Roberto Luongo really that busy?
Lets get it straight here, I love celebrating the athletic body, who doesn't? But when the biggest sports news organization pays attention to the sport once a year, you damn well better pick THE BEST of the best.
You want to go with a subpar player? Fine go with one that isn't so creepy and is actually good looking.
You want to go with an okay looking guy? He better be a 40 goal scorer, a recent Norris winner, or lets face it, Henrik Lundqvist.
But Joffery Lupul? Shame on you, NHL. If I'm going to spend $4 on what is the lady equivanalnt of a Victoria's Secret catolog, I better see more Miranda Kerr and less Ethel the bulk underwear model.
