This time of year it seems that everyone is caught up in March Madness. People around the country stress out over their brackets and inevitably tear them up as the tournament does not play out the way they figured it would. Yet, among all this madness, it seems that the college hockey tournament gets lost in the shuffle.
Well let's fix that. We have our own brackets we should be obsessing over.
This year we are having a bracket challenge involving the NCAA College Hockey tournament.
Now before you start ignoring this thinking that there is no way you could possibly have a chance, think of this: every bracket challenge I have been involved with has always resulted in someone winning who generally knew nothing about the tournament.
So regardless if you can recite the top three lines of Boston College on command or if had not heard of a school named "Ferris State" before this post, come join us. It should be a fun thing to do and maybe it will get some of you that generally do not watch college hockey to seek out some of the games this year.
Here are the rules:
1) One entry per person
2) Please fill out the bracket completely
3) Write in the final score of the title game as it will be used as a tie-breaker
4) Entries must be received by Friday, March 23rd at 3:00pm EST
All entries can be sent to @upthepucks on twitter, upthepucks@gmail.com or posted in the comments.
If we get enough interest, there will be prizes.
Brackets can be found here: http://www.ncaa.com/sites/default/files/files/icehockey-men_d1_2011.pdf
All entrains are welcome to print it out and sent a picture of the completed bracket or can send the completed file to us.
